Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 August 2026 · Applies to Frolfy for iOS
Hoody Studios runs no servers, keeps no accounts, and runs no analytics. We cannot see your game data, and Frolfy never shows you an ad you didn't ask for. Everything that leaves your device is described below.
This policy is issued by Hoody Studios LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company, the owner and operator of hoodystudios.com and the publisher of Frolfy. Our postal address is at the end of this page, and hello@hoodystudios.com reaches us.
What Frolfy stores on your device
Your scores, streak, coins, unlocked items and settings are saved on your iPhone by the app itself. This data never leaves your device except through the Apple services described below. Deleting the app deletes it.
iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, Frolfy saves your progress to your own private iCloud database so it survives reinstalling the app and follows you to another device. This uses Apple's CloudKit.
Hoody Studios cannot read this data. It is stored in your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's privacy policy, and we have no access to it. Frolfy is fully playable without an iCloud account.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, Frolfy submits your daily score to a leaderboard so you can see where your round landed. Your Game Center nickname is shown on that leaderboard, as it is in any game using Game Center. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Frolfy never asks you to sign in to Game Center, and declining costs you nothing but the leaderboard.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, Frolfy schedules a local notification on your device. There is no server involved, no push token, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Photos
If you save a replay of a shot, Frolfy writes that one video to your photo library. Frolfy has add-only access: it can save a video and cannot read, browse, or upload anything already in your library.
Every ad in Frolfy is one you chose to watch. There are no banners, and no ad ever interrupts a round. Ads exist only as an offer you can take or ignore: replay a hole, another go at the Lost & Found, double a round's coins. If you never tap one, no advertising data about you leaves your device at all.
When you do choose to watch one, the ad is served by Google AdMob, and Google receives what it needs to show and measure it: your device's advertising identifier, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, which ads you were shown, and basic device and performance information. That is handled under Google's privacy policy rather than ours. We never receive any of it, and we cannot connect it to anything you do in the game.
You decide about tracking. Before any of that can happen, iOS asks whether Frolfy may track you across other apps and websites. Say no and you will see exactly the same number of ads and get exactly the same rewards. The ads are just less specific to you. Nothing in the game is ever withheld for saying no, and you can change your answer whenever you like in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. In the UK and EU you are also shown Google's own consent form before any ad is requested.
Analytics
Frolfy contains no analytics or attribution software of any kind. We do not know how many rounds you have played, which holes you struggle with, or when you last opened the app.
Purchases
Anything Frolfy sells is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details, your card, or your billing address. The app is only told whether you own something, never who paid for it.
Children
Frolfy is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If Frolfy ever starts collecting anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the "last updated" date above will change.
